Stetson has won the competition 19 out of 29 times, and is consistently ranked as a top law school for trial advocacy by the U.S. News & World Report.

The student team of Morgan Anderson, Julian Catala, Kristin Johnson and Jared Williams beat a team from Florida State University in the final round to win the competition. Julian Catala won the Best Advocate Award.

“While every time we go out and compete the outcome is important, there is something truly satisfying about doing well at Florida’s premier mock trial event,” said Stetson Law Professor and team coach Lee Coppock.

Alumnus Matthew Easterwood, whose team won the competition in 2007 while he was still a student, also coached the winning Stetson team.

Twenty-two teams from 11 Florida law schools competed.
