Stetson students participating in the parade event shared their perspectives.

“It’s Fantastic,” said 2L Nathan Perry. “Everyone is smiling, everyone is colorful and the weather is perfect for a celebration. It’s like God wanted this to happen.”

“This is pretty phenomenal,” said 2L Christina Hartman. “Stetson has been a big part of this parade for many years and so the fact that we can be here after such a historic decision has come down is not only great for Stetson but for the community as well.”

The parade is one of the largest of its kind in Florida, drawing more than 200,000 people.
