Law alumnus again honored with Tampa Bay Business Journal Business of Pride award

Law alumnus Nathan Bruemmer J.D. ’17 is being honored with a 2018 Tampa Bay Business Journal Business of Pride award on June 18 at the Palladium in St. Petersburg, Florida, for being a voice in the community. It is the second year in a row that Bruemmer is receiving the award.

Bruemmer is executive director of the nonprofit Advocacy Leadership Support Outreach Youth, or ALSO Youth, an LGBT organization based in Sarasota. At Stetson, Bruemmer was an award-winning member of the Trial Team. He worked as a teacher before pursuing his law degree at Stetson.

Last year, he was named among the “Most Remarkable People 2017” by Watermark magazine. Also in 2017, Bruemmer launched the tradition of kicking off the St Pete Pride Parade with a transgender march in downtown St. Petersburg.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal Business of Pride award honorees include companies, organizations and individuals working to advance lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality in the workplace.
