“Environmental law is about defending the rule,” said Andy Zodrow J.D. ’95 of the Environmental Protection Commission. Zodrow visited Stetson’s Gulfport campus on Feb. 12 to talk with students about the path to a career in environmental law.

“What a lot of people don’t know is that you don’t have to come from an environmental background to have a career in environmental law,” said Zodrow. “Public interest, government, and private practice are all unique areas within environmental law.”

Zodrow shared that if students are interested in environmental law, a good foundational class offered at Stetson is administrative law. Zodrow also encouraged students to start early with participation in internships in order to get hands-on experience within the field.
