The field of the multi-day competition is narrowed to 64 teams after four preliminary rounds. More than 380 teams participated in the oral arguments, and by the round of 32, only two teams from the United States remained. The competition was held virtually for the second time this year; it went online last year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students were up and competing at all hours of the night and morning during the course of the competition.

The team was composed of Robert Cummings, Audrey Gangloff, Melany Hernandez, Joseph Kim, Brook Somerville, and Andrew Zacherl, with Professors Joseph Morrissey and Stephanie Vaughan and alumnus Matthew Ceriale as coaches.
