Stetson’s Fall Internship & Career Expo, Oct. 21

Students have the opportunity to meet with employers on campus. Even better, they can gain an internship or post-graduation job.

Stetson’s Fall Internship & Career Expo is back, following a two-year COVID-19 hiatus. The event is set for Friday, Oct. 21, noon-3 p.m., at Hollis Center in the Rinker Fieldhouse. 

In October 2019, the Expo set a record for attendance, as 446 students met with 64 employers that nearly spanned an A-to-Z company range (AdventHealth to Withum).

Expect much of the same this time around, maybe even bigger and better, says Liz Connor, Stetson’s associate director of Career and Professional Development.

“There will be new employers and big names!” Connor says. “We also have Cultural Credit for School of Business Administration and College of Arts and Sciences students.” Connor adds the event is open to all Stetson students and could prove especially useful for students who are undecided about a major.

The event is open to all Stetson students. Being timely and dressing to impress are recommended.

Also, free professional headshot photos will be made available to all attendees. Note: Dressing to impress is important.

Finally, as with any job interview, students are encouraged to arrive early and maximize opportunities.

“Securing an exciting internship or post-graduation job begins the first semester of a student’s ‘Stetson Experience’ and continues every semester after,” comments John Sheehy, assistant director of Career and Professional Development. “The Expo provides an exceptional opportunity for students of all years and majors to build professional relationships with Stetson’s Employer Partners and alumni visiting for the event. It’s always a wonderful day of interactions and sharing of information.”
