The Lunar New Year is an event celebrated by billions of people globally, including at Stetson, thanks to the university’s Asian Pacific American Coalition. For many celebrants, the event marks the first new moon of their lunar calendar year. This year, that day was Saturday, Feb. 10, with the year continuing through Jan. 28, 2025.

This lunar year is the Year of the Dragon — with lucky colors of gold, yellow and (of course) green. Also notably, the personality traits of people born in the Year of the Dragon are charismatic, intelligent, confident, powerful, and the people are naturally lucky and gifted — just like Hatters!
