I graduated from Stetson in June of 1962 with a 2nd LT commission from ROTC. After basic Armor school I was assigned to the 2nd Armored Calvary in Bayreuth, Germany. I served there until January 1966 where I was re-assigned to the 11th Armored Calvary preparing to go to Vietnam. I departed in August 1962 on the advanced party of the Regiment. We arrived in Saigon and set up for the arrival on the Regiment. Once the entire Regiment arrived we were sent to area North of Saigon where highway one North was controlled by the Vietcong. We set a base camp there and operated our patrols and missions from that location.

In July of 1967 I returned to the USA and departed the Army. I returned to Miami to start my insurance carrier which continues today. While in Vietnam I earned the Bronze Star and an Oak Leave Cluster to the Bronze Star.
