Marvene Allenby Gordon

After graduating from the Univ. of Arizona in 1943. He served as an infantry company commander in France during WWII, earning the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star for Valor, and the Purple Heart. After the war he remained in the US Army Reserve. He attended the Stetson University College of Law, where he received his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1949. He practiced law in Cocoa, FL, before being recalled to active duty in 1951, where he was assigned to the 4th Infantry Division, Frankfurt am Main, West Germany. In 1952, he transferred to the US Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC) and served as a JAG until his retirement from active duty in 1969. After returning from Europe he served in Arizona, South Korea, Virginia, Arkansas, and Georgia. Following retirement, he returned to Sarasota, FL.
