George joined the Army then while assigned to Stetson (beginning August 1970) as an Assistant Professor of Military Science, Captain Jones graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education. In June 1973 Captain Jones left Stetson for his new assignment with the Fourth Infantry Division (Mechanized) Fort Carson, Colorado. He was a Vietnam War veteran and retired from the Army as a Major.
