I was Vietnam era but never left the country as I was in Air Defense Artillery and stationed as a Nike Hercules Officer in the 5th Missile Battalion, 55th Artillery which was responsible for the missile sites around Kansas City, in and around the Cuban Missile Crisis. I am very pleased that Stetson is providing an ROTC to its students. What I learned in the military is that it was the ROTC graduates from small ethical universities like Stetson made the best officers. Please use this email to contact me or to give to students that might be interested in that era concerning the missile programs that we had. And for the record, I went back to Stetson as an adjunct professor of math and computer science to develop a course on “Ethics and High Technology” in 1986. I was working for IBM at the time and they paid for my trip and expenses.
