Charles graduated from Bolles Military Academy in 1949 where he was a Captain and Company Commander prior to attending Stetson University. Charles then joined the design firm of W. G. Suttles, Inc. located on Riverside Ave. where he was President from 1966 until the present. His numerous professional accomplishments included the interior design of many financial, healthcare and college institutions, executive offices, and homes throughout the southeast. Charles was admitted to Professional membership in National Society of Interior Designers in 1960 and later the American Society of Interior Designers. He was recorded in Who’s Who in Interior Design. Charles was a retired Colonel in the United States Army Reserves and a life member of the Reserve Officers Association. His community involvement included the Chamber of Commerce, Shriners Club, Meninak Club, Boy Scouts of America and YMCA-Century Club.
