I entered the Marine Corps right after graduation and was commissioned a second lieutenant. After The Basic School and Naval Flight Training, I was designated a Naval Flight Officer and served for several years in Marine Attack squadrons as a bombardier/navigator aboard the A-6A Intruder low level radar bomber. I spent thirteen months in Viet Nam bombing targets in North Vietnam, Laos, and South Vietnam – 1968-1969.

Following my Marine Service & further schooling, I was ordained a priest, and served civilian parishes before being assigned as a USAF chaplain. I retired from active military service in 1992, and have spent the rest of my years as a civilian pastor. I am presently a bishop in the Anglican Church in North America. Mary Ellen and I have three children and five grandchildren.
