I was the Stetson ROTC Cadet Colonel. Upon graduation I entered the Army and served from 1960 to 1966, trained as a paratrooper and army aviator. I served in Vietnam from June 1963 to June 1964, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart, and 9 air medals. As a Captain I retired from Army service and I flew as a TWA Airlines captain until my retirement in 1992.
