I did serve in a combat role in Vietnam as a platoon leader with the 502nd Infantry Battalion of the 101st Airborne Division. These pictures were taken during my year (Feb 1970 – Feb 1971) as the medical platoon leader of the 502nd Infantry Battalion of the 101st Airborne Div. There was one medic assigned to each infantry platoon. Each of the four companies spent three weeks in the boonies and then rotated back to the fire base for one week before heading out again. We also ran an aid station on the firebase and back at the base camp at Phu Bai.

There is a bit of information and some picture in the 4th paragraph on part of my University of Louisville website at http://louisville.edu/faculty/pprowe01/personal-bio-and-links
