2022 National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Fellowship! Apply Now!
The NACDL fellowship program will provide $4,000 fellowships to 5 law students who are interning with criminal defense practitioners.
Students may utilize an existing summer placement or may select an employer from our nationwide list of criminal defense lawyers and agencies.
Applicants must currently be a 1L or 2L (or 3L evening) student from a historically underrepresented background, in good academic standing, and enrolled at an ABA-accredited law school.
Applicants must have an interest in a career in criminal defense.
Selected Fellows will be expected to intern, full-time, at a public defender office or with a criminal defense attorney in private practice.
Selected Fellows will receive $500 per week for up to 8 weeks of summer employment.
Interested students must complete a Diversity Fellowship application, provide a resume, and complete a brief writing exercise.
