PAID FELLOWSHIP 

Stetson University College of Law and the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay formed a partnership in 2019— The Alliance for Advocacy and Philanthropy (“The Alliance”) — to benefit the Tampa Bay area.  As part of the collaboration, the Alliance offers paid fellowships to Stetson Law students.  We are currently looking for students to serve as fellows in the Fall 2026 semester.  Students chosen for this fellowship may work virtually, at Community Foundation of Tampa Bay’s Gulfport campus, or at one of their offices in downtown St. Petersburg or Tampa.  Through this paid fellowship, students will work approximately 13-15 hours per week for approximately 10- 12 weeks.  

As a Community Fellow, you will gain an in-depth understanding of community philanthropy and have hands-on opportunities to work with nonprofit organizations.  You will be introduced to nonprofit board governance, the grantmaking process, donor development, and funding agreements.  In addition, you will receive considerable exposure to how grants are evaluated and sustained; and you may also be called upon to analyze data to support nonprofit organizational needs and to assess programmatic outcomes.

National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Law Foundation Scholarships

SAIL SCHOLARSHIP 

The SAIL Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to an individual who will be a 2L student starting in the 2026 Fall Semester (current 1L students should apply) who has outstanding professional promise and leadership potential. Applicants will be evaluated for (a) academic excellence in their undergraduate school years and first year of law school, (b) leadership experience, (c) volunteerism or service in the public interest, (d) knowledge of social and cultural issues of any one or more AAPI communities or commitment to making a significant impact on issues affecting one or more AAPI communities, or both, and (e) commitment to “pay it forward.” The SAIL Scholarship is made possible due to the generosity of Sharon and Ivan Fong. 

Award Amount: $7,500 split equally over 2 years. The first disbursement will be in August of the second year of law school. Subject to the Scholar’s continued (i) strong academic performance and good character; and (ii) dedication to the concepts set forth in scholarship, the second disbursement will be in August of the third year of law school.

NAPABA CONVENTION

The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) will hold its 2026 Convention in Los Angeles from November 12-14. The NAPABA Convention is one of the largest annual gatherings of attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students, bringing meaningful insights, networking opportunities, and perspective to the legal community. The NAPABA Convention provides a unique opportunity for law schools and programs to meet with their alumni, students and staff already in attendance. Please consider hosting a reception or breakfast through NAPABA.

Pathways to Justice Academy – a Youth Civic Engagement Program

The Pathway to Justice Academy is a free weeklong hybrid learning experience that teaches students how to empower themselves and others to become catalysts for positive social change through civic education and advocacy. The program takes place from July 13 to July 17. Students will engage with law faculty, staff, law students, attorneys, and judges in the local community. Chattahoochee Injury Law Roots of Responsibility Scholarship – $1000 – Deadline: August 31, 2026

Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship is open to any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in the United States. This includes accredited community college students as well as high school seniors and students who possess a GED who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited program.

The scholarship applicant must demonstrate their commitment to promoting responsibility, accountability, and the prevention of avoidable harm in their essay.

All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Essay Questions

Respond to the following questions in an essay of 1,000 words or less:

  • How can individuals and organizations better uphold their responsibilities to prevent avoidable injuries?
  • Can you describe a situation that shaped your understanding of accountability and its impact on others?
  • How will your education help you promote responsible decision-making in your future career or community involvement?

Research Assistant Opportunity

Professor Shailini George seeks a 3L for the 2026-2027 academic year to serve as a research assistant for work on a project related to law student and lawyer well-being and professional identity formation. Facilities Maintenance Updates

Once graduation concludes, we will be moving forward with several campus updates and renovations. Beginning on May 18, flat roof replacements will take place above Advocacy. This project is expected to last approximately 4–6 weeks. Equipment and dumpsters will be staged in the south horseshoe and south library parking. Also starting May 18, renovations to Classroom A will begin. This project is scheduled for completion by June 22. There will be a dumpster in the parking lot by Public Safety for this project. Moving forward, classroom renovations will continue each year until all classrooms have been updated. Yutzy Tree will be trimming trees across campus, the library, parking lots and Rosa the week of May 18th as well. You will see areas roped off on different days to allow them access. These areas will include parking along 62nd Street S, the east and west parking lots along 15th Avenue S, and the north and south parking lots of the library. As a condition of using your credit card, a non-refundable convenience fee equal to 2.55% of the payment will be charged. E-checks do not incur convenience fees.

If the amount of your financial aid is in excess of the amount of your tuition and fees, you will receive a refund for the difference to cover your living expenses.

Session I refunds will be available for pickup if by check on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. If your refund is direct deposited, it will be processed late afternoon on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Session II refunds will be available for pickup if by check on Friday, June 12, 2026. If your refund is direct deposited, it will be processed late afternoon on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Portal Now Open: Renew Your ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Modifications for the Summer 2026 Term.

The portal is now open to renew ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Testing Modifications for the Summer 2026 term. 

The deadline to submit or renew non-exam ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Testing Modifications for Summer 2026 is June 19th, 2026.  Any Summer submissions received during the university closure from end of day on Thursday, May 19th to when we reopen on Tuesday, May 26th will be reviewed and processed upon our return. 

All students who have previously received ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Testing Modifications at Stetson College of Law must renew their accommodation requests for every fall and spring semester, summer session and study abroad programs in which you are enrolled. 

All semester renewal requests for accommodations or modifications must be requested through the Accommodate Student Portal .  

Please follow all the steps found on Stetson Law’s Accessibility Resources  web page.  The accommodations listed in the BLUE BOX are what you are ELIGIBLE TO RENEW for the current term.  If you need additional or different accommodations, please email [email protected].  You will receive an email confirming a successful submission for the Accessibility Resource team to review and process for approval in the current term. If you do not receive a confirmation email, the steps have not been completed, and you need to try again.

Join Stetson Law in the 2026 St. Pete PRIDE Day Parade!
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, family and friends are invited to the join Stetson Law community members and the Lambda Legal Society as we participate in the 2026 St. Pete Pride Parade (June 27, 2026) and Grand Central Street Fair (June 28, 2026).

Portal Now Open: Renew Your ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Modifications for the Summer 2026 Term.

The portal is now open to renew ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Testing Modifications for the Summer 2026 term. 

The deadline to submit or renew non-exam ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Testing Modifications for Summer 2026 is June 19th, 2026.  Any Summer submissions received during the university closure from end of day on Thursday, May 19th to when we reopen on Tuesday, May 26th will be reviewed and processed upon our return. 

All students who have previously received ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Testing Modifications at Stetson College of Law must renew their accommodation requests for every fall and spring semester, summer session and study abroad programs in which you are enrolled. 

All semester renewal requests for accommodations or modifications must be requested through the Accommodate Student Portal .  

Please follow all the steps found on Stetson Law’s Accessibility Resources  web page.  The accommodations listed in the BLUE BOX are what you are ELIGIBLE TO RENEW for the current term.  If you need additional or different accommodations, please email [email protected].  You will receive an email confirming a successful submission for the Accessibility Resource team to review and process for approval in the current term. If you do not receive a confirmation email, the steps have not been completed, and you need to try again. 

If your classes change after you have submitted your request for accommodations renewal, please email [email protected] to notify what classes have changed.

Facilities Maintenance Updates

Once graduation concludes, we will be moving forward with several campus updates and renovations. Beginning on May 18, flat roof replacements will take place above Advocacy. This project is expected to last approximately 4–6 weeks. Equipment and dumpsters will be staged in the south horseshoe and south library parking. Also starting May 18, renovations to Classroom A will begin. This project is scheduled for completion by June 22. There will be a dumpster in the parking lot by Public Safety for this project. Moving forward, classroom renovations will continue each year until all classrooms have been updated. Yutzy Tree will be trimming trees across campus, the library, parking lots and Rosa the week of May 18th as well. You will see areas roped off on different days to allow them access. These areas will include parking along 62nd Street S, the east and west parking lots along 15th Avenue S, and the north and south parking lots of the library. PAID FELLOWSHIP 

Stetson University College of Law and the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay formed a partnership in 2019— The Alliance for Advocacy and Philanthropy (“The Alliance”) — to benefit the Tampa Bay area.  As part of the collaboration, the Alliance offers paid fellowships to Stetson Law students.  We are currently looking for students to serve as fellows in the Fall 2026 semester.  Students chosen for this fellowship may work virtually, at Community Foundation of Tampa Bay’s Gulfport campus, or at one of their offices in downtown St. Petersburg or Tampa.  Through this paid fellowship, students will work approximately 13-15 hours per week for approximately 10- 12 weeks.

Teaching Assistant to Professor Bhandari

Professor Bhandari is seeking a Teaching Assistant for pay or credit, for his Summer 2026 Criminal Procedure – Investigation class that will meet online on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15pm– 9:15pm. Responsibilities include attending classes, supporting students as needed, and supporting the professor with assignments and class preparation (20 hours).
