April Birthday Celebration

Stop by the People Operations office on Tuesday, April 28, between 9:30am – 10:30am, to celebrate our April birthdays.

PAID FELLOWSHIP

Stetson University College of Law and the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay formed a partnership in 2019— The Alliance for Advocacy and Philanthropy (“The Alliance”) — to benefit the Tampa Bay area.  As part of the collaboration, the Alliance offers paid fellowships to Stetson Law students.  We are currently looking for students to serve as fellows in the Fall 2026 semester.  Students chosen for this fellowship may work virtually, at Community Foundation of Tampa Bay’s Gulfport campus, or at one of their offices in downtown St. Petersburg or Tampa.  Through this paid fellowship, students will work approximately 13-15 hours per week for approximately 10- 12 weeks.

As a Community Fellow, you will gain an in-depth understanding of community philanthropy and have hands-on opportunities to work with nonprofit organizations.  You will be introduced to nonprofit board governance, the grantmaking process, donor development, and funding agreements.  In addition, you will receive considerable exposure to how grants are evaluated and sustained; and you may also be called upon to analyze data to support nonprofit organizational needs and to assess programmatic outcomes.

If you are interested in applying for one of these paid fellowships in the upcoming Fall 2026 semester please submit your resume and a cover letter to Professor Scully and Jesse Coraggio, Vice President of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay at [email protected]  no later than May 15th.  Please indicate in your cover letter why you are interested in this position and what skills you currently possess that you think will be an asset to The Alliance.

The finalists for this fellowship will be notified no later than May 22nd  of their status and will be invited to virtually interview with the Alliance at a date convenient to the student.  Students chosen to be Fellows will begin work in late August or early September.

For more information about the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay please see About | Community Foundation of Tampa Bay (cftampabay.org)

Fall 2026 In-House Counsel Externship Program Meet & Greet

This announcement is for students applying for the Fall 2026 In-House Counsel Externship Program. On Friday, April 10 (at noon), we will host a virtual meet & greet to allow students who applied for the Fall 2026 In-House Counsel Externship program to meet some of the supervising attorneys in the program. After the externship application period closes, students applying for the in-house counsel externship program will be asked to complete a survey indicating which placements most interest them. The meet & greet provides an opportunity to get to know more about the placements. While not all placements will participate, and not all student applicants will be able to attend, we hope that this allows many of the students and placements to get to know each other. If you are applying for the program in the fall and would like to attend, please email Professor Radwan ([email protected]) no later than 5 pm on Wednesday, April 8; she will invite all participants to the meeting with a link to the meeting after that time.
