Congratulations to Stetson’s Trial Team advancing to the Final Four in the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge

Stetson’s Trial Team reached the Semi-finals at the 11th Annual South Texas Mock Trial Challenge in Houston, Texas, this past weekend. Following three preliminary rounds in a field of 40 schools, Stetson’s team of Hillary Hazeltine (3L), Tiffany Hilton (3L), and Jason Webb (2L) advanced to the Quarterfinals, and then to the Semi-Finals against the eventual tournament champion, Campbell University. The South Texas Challenge is unique in that it is the only trial competition of the year that requires submission of a trial brief as part of the tournament. The team was coached by John Nohlgren and Willengy Ramos. On a special note, the South Texas competition brings the Trial Team career of Hillary Hazeltine to a close with her 7th trial competition, a truly impressive career! Congratulations to our South Texas competition team!
