The First-Year Appellate Advocacy Competition has been an R&W II tradition for probably close to 25 years, if not more, and this spring’s competition would not be possible without the support of the Tampa office of Freeborn & Peters LLP!
A special thanks goes to the judges who shared their time and expertise with the students. On Wednesday evening, a special thanks to Sarah Gottlieb (chief judge), Ian Dankelman, and Jade Turner. And on Thursday evening, a special thanks to Hoyt Prindle III (chief judge), Amanda Keller, and Christina Flatau. And an extra-special thank you to Jason Stearns, who helped with the planning of the competition.
And after the rounds, the judges spent time providing feedback and advice, but one theme was apparent—there was nothing but praises for the students and the development of their advocacy skills. The judges were very impressed on how well the students did.
Congratulations, everyone!
