What is Disability Justice?
International Day of Persons with Disabilities underscores the need to address systemic barriers that exclude the disabled community. A disability justice approach is to advocate for the advancement of access and inclusion for disabled people while also highlighting the unique needs of the most historically excluded groups, such as women, people of color, immigrants, and people who identify as LGBTQ+ individuals who live with a disability. Learn more about why disability justice is important in social justice work and how to be more inclusive by watching the “Disability Justice” video on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities resource page: https://www.stetson.edu/law/campus-life/personswithdisabilitesday.php
