Congratulations, Dispute Resolution Board!
This weekend, Stetson’s DR Board competed in Oxford, Mississippi at the Magnolia Cup negotiation tournament hosted by the University of Mississippi. Our teams consisted of DR veterans Kathryn Alkire (a first-time negotiator) and Melissa Rodriguez (a veteran negotiator and DR/Trial Team member) competing together, and Daniel Posada (a veteran negotiator) and Kendra Maynard (a DR rookie) competing together. Both teams advanced to semifinals but, since they were on the same side, only one team could advance to finals. Daniel and Kendra were our team advancing to finals – and they swept the ballots against UGA. They were coached by Stetson alumni Bill Greiner and Alicia Winterkorn. This was Stetson DR’s second time competing in the Magnolia Cup – and our second championship there!
