Civil Rights and the Law Course and Travel Course

This summer, the Social Justice Advocacy Concentration will again be presenting two related courses, the Civil Rights and the Law Course (2 credits), and the Civil Rights and the Law Travel Course (3 credits) that immediately follows it.  The first course will run June 8-12 (M-F) from 9 am to 3 pm each day on the Gulfport campus; the second course will run June 14-21 (Sun-Sun) and will take students from Memphis to Jackson and the Mississippi Delta to Selma, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Atlanta, where we will meet with Movement veterans, learn from their stories, and walk in their footsteps through some of the crucial moments in Civil Rights Movement history.  If you are interested in the course, you will need to reach out to Professor Scully ([email protected]) and Professor Adams ([email protected]) to schedule an interview before you will be able to Register.
