The Future of the Rule of Law with the Executive Director and Vice President of the American Inns of Court (Tonight, in the Great Hall, 5:30pm – 8:00pm)

Join the Barney Masterson American Inn of Court as they host the Executive Director and Vice President of the American Inns of Court for a discussion of the future of the rule of law.

The program will be held in the Great Hall on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5:30pm – 8:00pm.

This dynamic presentation will examine:

  • The evolving mission of the American Inns of Court in a rapidly changing legal and cultural landscape
  • What should members seek to gain from their Inns and what should they aspire to give to their Inns
  • The role of the Inns as a guardian of institutional trust, civility, and judicial independence
  • Why the future of the Rule of Law depends not only on courts—but on lawyers committed to something higher than themselves

This is not a retrospective. It is a forward-facing conversation about responsibility, stewardship, and the enduring relevance of the legal profession’s most honored traditions.

Students are welcome and there is no charge. Please RSVP your attendance as soon as possible to the Barney Masterson Inn.
