Who can participate in BetterU?

  • Any employee at Stetson – with or without Stetson’s medical insurance
  • Employee’s spouse

Why participate in BetterU?

  • Challenge yourself to prioritize your physical and mental well-being
  • A way to focus on prioritizing healthy habits in your daily life
  • Accountability from friends and colleagues
  • Opportunities to engage in wellness related events on campus
  • Various forms of incentive prizes

What do I have to do?

The goal of BetterU is for you to become a better version of you by focusing on your habits that fuel you! Daily physical movement, consumption of fruits and vegetables, proper hydration and getting adequate sleep are critical components of human life and finding balance can be a challenge. Utilize BetterU to evaluate, explore and improve your wellness within these areas.

For 30 days, you will complete a daily log to evaluate the following:

  • Physical Movement: 30-60 minutes of physical exercise per day
  • Eat: Enjoy five servings of fruits and vegetables each day
  • Hydrate: Drink 8+, 8 ounce glasses of water per day
  • Sleep: Seven to nine hours of sleep per night
  • Mindfulness: A daily check-in to reflect on your day

What do I get for participating? 

  • A renewed sense of your overall wellness and an opportunity to build a better you!
  • Earn a minimum of 65 points you are eligible for gift card incentives through Sterling Wellness Platform, earning up to $300!
  • Earn 100 points and you are eligible for a wellness related prize from Wellness and Recreation and Human Resources. Prize changes each season!
