November Family Forms Clinic – Legal Pro Bono Opportunity
Bay Area Legal Services’ Volunteer Lawyers Program is seeking law student volunteers to participate in the Family Forms Clinic at the George Edgecomb Courthouse in downtown Tampa (800 E Twiggs St, Tampa, FL 33602).
The Family Forms Clinic is a free program that provides assistance to people representing themselves in family law cases in Hillsborough County. As a student volunteer, you will help pro se family law litigants complete family law forms. No experience or expertise is needed. All hours are eligible for legal pro bono.
In November, the clinic will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-2pm. Once you select the dates you’d like to attend, you will receive an email confirming your selected dates. Sign-up for 1 or more clinic dates here. You can sign up for as many available dates as you’d like.
Grant Writing Legal Pro Bono Opportunity
The Sunny Center Foundation USA is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization seeking pro bono support with grant writing to help us secure funding for our programs. Our organization provides transitional housing and reentry support to persons coming out of a long length of incarceration of wrongful conviction. The grant we are currently applying for is the Second Chance Act in 2026, which would enable us to expand these critical programs and better serve those in need. If you have experience with grant writing and are interested in volunteering your skills to make a meaningful impact, we would love to connect. 2026 Civil Legal Aid Summer Fellowship – Paid Summer Opportunities
The deadline for law students to apply for an FFLA 2026 Civil Legal Aid Summer Fellowship is next Friday, November 7.
- The Civil Legal Aid Summer Fellowship Program offers law students a 10-week full-time paid summer fellowship at a Florida legal aid organization.

2026 Civil Legal Aid Summer Fellowships
Funding Florida Legal Aid is accepting applications for their Civil Legal Aid Summer Fellowship Program!
- Selected fellows gain valuable legal service experience at a Florida non-profit legal service organization for a 10-week full-time paid summer fellowship.
- Stipends for students are $9,000. A cost-of-living adjustment may be provided to eligible students.
- The organization and the summer fellow are matched using the preferences in their applications.
- The deadline to apply is November 7 at 11:45 pm. Learn more and apply here.
- Up to 30 Summer 2026 fellowships will be offered.

- Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office is hosting a Lunch & Learn on Oct. 23 at noon in FR Courtroom on their Smart Justice and spring break program. Learn how to earn legal pro bono hours with Miami SAO during spring break.
- The ACLU’s Southern Collective is accepting applications for the ACLU-NBLSA Southern Legal Internship Program. The priority deadline is Oct. 31.
- Applications for Clinics & Externships, including the Veterans Advocacy Clinic and Jacobs Law Clinic, are open. Apply by Oct. 29 for Spring ’26 Clinic and Externship opportunities.
- Stetson Law’s Pro Bono Fair will take place in the Great Hall on Oct. 23, from 4:30-6:30pm. Attend to meet representatives from public interest and government organizations to learn about pro bono, internship, and post-graduate employment opportunities.

VOLUNTEER LAWYERS PROGRAM OF BAY AREA LEGAL SERVICES – SPRING/SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES
BALS is accepting applications for spring and summer internship opportunities.
- For spring, they are seeking an intern to work with the family law team out of their Ybor office. Spring internships are unpaid.
- For summer, they will have openings for paid clerkships in the following offices: Plant City, Dade City, the Advocacy department (ABLE) in Ybor, and the Family Law office in Ybor. Summer clerks gain hands-on experience in public interest law, receive mentorship and training, network with legal professionals, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients. Clerkship positions are limited to rising 3Ls or higher and recent graduates.

Children’s Dream Fund Benefit – Volunteers Needed
Cornhole Classic on November 22nd to benefit the Children’s Dream Fund, volunteers are needed for the event. These hours would qualify for non-legal community service hours.
The tournament will take place from 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM at 8223 Verna Bethany Rd, Myakka City, FL 34251. We anticipate needing around 12–15 volunteers to help with the following:
- Parking
- Running and scoring cornhole games
- Assisting at the registration table
- Monitoring the raffle table
- Helping with lunch service

Seeking Nominations for AALS Pro Bono Honor Roll
We are seeking nominations for the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Pro Bono Honor Roll. The Pro Bono Honor Roll acknowledges and highlights the exceptional work of individuals engaging in, expanding, and/or supporting their law school community in providing pro bono legal services. Each year, our law school may select up to three individuals to be honored—one faculty member, one student, and one staff member.
Nomination Process: You may nominate yourself or another faculty member, staff member, or student. Each nomination submission should include:
(i) the name of the person being nominated;
(ii) their role (faculty, student, or staff); and
(iii) the reason for nomination, highlighting the significance of the nominee’s work engaging in, expanding, and/or supporting the Stetson law community in providing pro bono legal services (no more than 500 words).
For purposes of this award, pro bono is defined as work that is primarily legal in nature, supervised by a licensed attorney (for law students), not for pay or academic credit, and of service to underserved individuals, groups, or those with barriers to access to justice.
Please submit your nomination(s) in a PDF or Word format to Stephanie Storke, Associate Director of Public Interest Careers and Pro Bono, at [email protected]. You may nominate as many individuals as you would like.
