DO NOT WAIT: Renew your ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Modifications for 2025 SUMMER TERM.
The deadline to renew ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Testing Modifications is June 24th. Any submissions after this date will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
All students who have previously received ADA Accommodations and/or ESL Testing Modifications at Stetson College of Law must renew their accommodation requests for every fall and spring semester, summer session and study abroad programs in which you are enrolled.
All semester renewal requests for accommodations or modifications must be requested through the Accommodate Student Portal .
Please follow all the steps found on Stetson Law’s Accessibility Resources web page. The accommodations listed in the BLUE BOX are what you are ELIGIBLE TO RENEW for the current term. If you need additional or different accommodations, please email [email protected]. You will receive an email confirming a successful submission for the Accessibility Resource team to review and process for approval in the current term.

Register to Attend the 21st International Wildlife Law Conference
The 21st International Wildlife Law Conference (IWLC-21) will take place on April 8-9, 2025, at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida.
Hosted by Stetson’s Institute for Biodiversity Law and Policy, this event will convene a diverse group of experts in wildlife conservation, including legal professionals, policymakers, and scientists. The conference encourages active participation from students and welcomes attendees who work in the legal field and scientists and other wildlife professionals with an interest in law.

Apply for the Dick and Joan Jacobs Environmental Law Externship Fund
Will you be working or volunteering for an environmentally focused organization or agency this summer? If so, financial support may be available through the Dick and Joan Jacobs Environmental Law Externship Fund. Send an application letter to Professor Gardner ([email protected]) and Katherine Pratt ([email protected]) with the name of the organization or agency that you will be working for or have applied to, a description of the work you will be doing, the likely dates of work, and a general description of your financial needs. Stipends typically range between $1500 and $3000 to help defray living and/or travel expenses. Applications are considered on a rolling basis, with those received by Friday, April 25th, 2025 given priority.

2025 Stetson Law Review Symposium: Prosecutorial Independence and White Collar Crime
On Friday March 28, 2025, Stetson Law Review will host its annual symposium in the Great Hall at Stetson University College of Law Gulfport Campus from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. This year’s symposium will focus on current trends and controversies in both prosecutorial independence and white collar crime. The event will feature a welcome breakfast followed by two panels on prosecutorial independence and a Keynote Address with District Attorney Sherry Boston. After the Keynote Address, there will be a networking lunch followed by two panels on white collar crime and will conclude with a networking reception. Panelists will include practitioners and academics from across the country.

Bookstore: Book refunds end this Thursday, 1/30/25
Textbook Return Policy for
SPRING 2025
The last day for textbook refunds with original receipt is January 30, 2025. Books must be in the condition you purchased/rented them in for a full refund. New books must still be shrink wrapped (if they were sold that way) and free from any markings to be eligible for a refund! ******If you are mailing your returns back, you must make sure they are shipped to arrive at the Bookstore on or before Jan. 30, 2025 to be eligible for a refund.******
· Textbooks purchased after Jan. 30, 2025 can be returned within 2 days in the condition sold to you. Books for condensed/weekend or shortened courses may have their own refund date TBD. Books purchased the last week of classes and during exams are not refundable.
· Shrink-wrapped texts must be unopened, all enclosures (CDs etc) must be included. Software included with textbooks must be unopened.
· “eBook” textbooks are returnable if code/password has not been accessed online and within the stated refund date for that platform. Some e-book/digital delivery fees are not refundable.
Non-Textbook Return Policy
· Non-textbook items may be refunded or exchanged within 30 days of the sale with the original receipt if the merchandise is in salable condition.
· Items such as Electronics, CDs, DVDs and Computer Software must be unopened if returned.
· Law Study Guides and BarCharts are not returnable/exchangeable.
· Gift Cards are not returnable.

If you are interested in creating, working, or learning about nonprofit organizations and the intersection of philanthropy and the law this is a pro bono opportunity you do not want to miss!
The Alliance for Advocacy and Philanthropy (The Alliance) is seeking student pro-bono interns to work virtually on a variety of projects with nonprofit organizations in the Tampa Bay area. The Alliance is a partnership between the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and Stetson University College of Law. It is a partnership designed to engage students in the philanthropic community and to strengthen the effectiveness of nonprofit efforts to address the needs of communities in the Tampa Bay area.
Students who volunteer for these pro bono opportunities are required to commit to working at least three hours per week for a minimum of 6 weeks starting the week of February 17th. The preference is for longer multiweek engagements, but short-term one-time opportunities may also be available. Many of the assignments will be virtual.

As a student volunteer, you will be assigned nonlegal research and writing projects and in rare circumstances you may have an opportunity to conduct legal research. In addition, you may have opportunities to:
- Learn about the nonprofit grantmaking process
- Attend community meetings and virtual networking opportunities with nonprofit executives
- Collaborate with a wide variety of business executives, lawyers, and philanthropists
- Analyze socio-economic data, and
- Assist in evaluating programmatic outcomes
If you are interested in applying for one of these opportunities, please submit a resume and cover letter explaining your interest and/or experience in the nonprofit world no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 6th. You will be notified of whether you are placed in the Community Associates Program no later than Friday, February 14th and will begin your pro bono assignment sometime during the week of February 17th.
You should indicate in your cover letter how many hours per week you will be available to volunteer. If you prefer an organization noted above, please indicate that in your cover letter.
