Certificate of Concentration in Criminal Law Applications Open

The Certificate of Concentration in Criminal Law will accept students with more than 45 hours to the concentration in Fall, 2025 only.  Because the Certificate was recently approved, we will accept applications from students who have more than 45 credits.  To be considered all the following must be true:

  1. Application is received by the Registrar’s Office by September 12, 2025.
  2. Student will not graduate before May 2026.
  3. Student has currently completed at least 10 hours of the certificate curriculum with the required grades.
  4. Student agrees that they will complete the required paper in the area of criminal law, even if they have already completed this graduation requirement through a non-criminal law topic. This can be completed through a seminar,  Directed Research Project or an Independent Research Project.
  5. Student agrees to complete the required criminal law pro bono hours, even if they have already completed the graduation requirement.
