Child Advocates of Stetson Law (CASL)
Child Advocates of Stetson Law (CASL) will be hosting a panel event at Stetson’s Tampa Law Center on October 7, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. The event will be a panel discussion about how the different roles within the dependency court system can work together to meet the legal needs of children in foster care and how informing foster children of their rights can help transform the system.
FosterPower is an app that was created by a Stetson Social Justice Advocacy graduate, Taylor Greenberg Sartor. This app gives foster youth and child welfare attorneys and professionals access to easy, digestible information on the benefits, protections, and legal rights of children in foster care. Attorney Taylor Sartor will serve as the moderator for this event.
Panel members will include a dependency court judge, an attorney with Children’s Legal Services, an attorney with the Guardian ad Litem program, a juvenile defense attorney, and a former foster youth.
