Become a Volunteer for the 2023 Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival!
CLEARWATER, Fla. – Do you love Clearwater Beach and appreciate the masterful art of sand sculpting? If so, the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival presented by Visit St. Pete-Clearwater is seeking energetic volunteers to assist with the return of the ninth annual event on Clearwater Beach April 7-23. Be a part of something sandtastic and head to Clearwater Beach for fun in the sun!

Volunteer Perks

Additional Information
- Wear comfortable clothes, hat, sunglasses and shoes. Casual beach attire/shorts are recommended. (Sorry, no bathing suits. Please remember this is a family-friendly event.)
- Must be able to walk in the sand and tolerate Florida heat.
- Sunscreen is provided upon request.
- All bar sales and ID checkers must be 21 years of age.
- High school students ages 15 and older are welcome. Any volunteer younger than 18 years of age must have parental permission. Please bring all Bright Futures and volunteer service forms with you to your volunteer shift. Volunteer forms will be signed upon completion of your shift.

About the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival
Fourteen world-class artists craft elaborate sand sculptures from Clearwater’s internationally famous sugar sand. The works of art are on display in a 21,000-square-foot structure. More than 1,000 tons of Clearwater sand takes on a new life, bringing visitors on a “sandtastic” adventure. The festival is a joint effort between Sunsets at Pier 60 Daily Festival, a 501(c)3 organization and the city of Clearwater.
