USF’s Mock Trial Team are hosting an invitational at the George Edgecomb Courthouse on January 28 and 29, 2023; they are looking for lawyers and law students to volunteer to judge for the rounds. There are four rounds total, two on each day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon.) The Morning round will usually begin around 9am and the afternoon round usually around 2pm. Each round is 3 hours long. There are two judges per round, one presiding (i.e. ruling on objections, evidence, etc.) and one who serves as the constructive jury.  They are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help with at least one round. All the judges they have worked with in the past have always greatly enjoyed watching the trials as these teams work very hard to put these cases together! Additionally, as most of the competitors intend to go to law school, they always greatly enjoy having feedback from current law students.

Below is a link to a google form to complete for anyone who is interested. They still need judges for all four rounds and just like with the law school trail teams we cannot start without enough judges! Currently they still need at least 2 judges for Saturday morning, 3 for Saturday afternoon, 5 for Sunday morning, and 3 for Sunday afternoon. Any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone would like further information, they can contact email [email protected].
