Congratulations, Moot Court Tax Team!

Please join me in congratulating our Moot Court Tax team–Erik Banuchi, Omar Hussein, and Cameron Modine–on winning second place in the National Tax Moot Court Competition in Miami, Florida this weekend. This national competition is sponsored by the tax section of The Florida Bar, and tax attorneys and judges travel from around the nation to judge this competition, especially the final round. The Stetson teams have a history of doing well in this competition, and once again, a Stetson team was in the final round. Congratulations, Erik, Omar, and Cameron! And a big thank you to Professor Appleby and Katie Everlove-Stone, Esq., who coached the team. Thank you!

And please join me in congratulating all the members of the Moot Court Board, as this has been an extraordinary year with Moot Court teams advancing to the elimination rounds or winning awards at all the competitions the teams participated in. And best of luck to our Jessup team–Tabitha Blackwell, Rebecca Doloski, Remee Farah, Liliana Torres, and Sara Spears–who will be competing in the White & Case International Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition this week!
