HBA and ILSA will be hosting a Day of the Dead celebration. We will have a luncheon event catered by Floribbean. There will be rice bowls available with your choice of protein (or just veggie). We will go over some housekeeping matters such as the updated events schedule post-Hurricane Ian. We will also have a short presentation on the historic significance of Day of the Dead, its meaning, and formulate a discussion on how this mainly Mexican holiday may also sometimes be celebrated in other Hispanic/Latinx countries and how (for example, Day of the Angels is commonly celebrated by many other countries following Day of the Dead).
