While many are aware of ageism and its effects in areas, like employment, most people fail to see that ageism surrounds us every single day. Whether it be the magazine we see in the store or the mental comment we make when an older person asks us a technology-related question, ageism is everywhere. Friday, October 7, is National Ageism Awareness Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness or this growing issue and discussing ways to prevent it in our lives.
