Nonlegal Pro Bono: Gopher Tortoise Burrow Survey | Environmental Law Society

March 23 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

You’re invited to join us and field biologist George Heinrich from the Center for Biological Diversity on Saturday, March 23 from 9am-3pm, for a burrow survey at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve (Lake Maggiore Environmental Education Center) in St. Petersburg, FL.

The Center for Biological Diversity will be conducting a wildlife research survey of gopher tortoise burrows in the St. Pete area— the data we gather will help CBD learn about the preserve’s gopher tortoises and help the preserve secure funding for critical management to benefit tortoises and the other species that rely on their burrows (more than 360 other species rely on gopher tortoise burrows!).

Please RSVP here on Engage by March 8th! Space is limited, and participation is first-come first-served.

Please RSVP on Engage

Food served at student organization events is for students who attend the entire program.
