The SLDC Spring 2023 essay prompt is as follows:

SLDC’s leadership program focuses on 6 pillars: management, communication, community, service, team-building, and problem-solving.  Write about a time when you or a leader you admire used one of these 6 pillars to effectively lead others.  For example, you could write a story about a time you used effective communication by email and phone to organize an important event, or about how you effectively managed a group of people by meeting each of their individual needs in order to accomplish a common goal.

Your essay should be no more than 2 pages, double-spaced, and in Times New Roman 12-point font.  If you submit an essay, you will receive 1 leadership credit for your participation.  The essay that is selected by the Committee as being the best will receive 2 credits for their efforts.  Completion of this essay will satisfy your capstone essay requirement.
