The Business Law and Blockchain & Law Societies present Stetson’s very own Gavin Meyers for a joint event on February 23rd. Gavin will discuss his career path and provide some insight on a career at the intersection of business, blockchain, and law.

Gavin Meyers is a Counsel in Baker McKenzie’s Transactional Practice Group in North America. Gavin is an experienced financial services regulatory lawyer and former FINRA attorney with a focus on representing broker-dealers, investment advisers, FinTech, and digital asset firms and projects on regulatory, enforcement and compliance matters involving US federal and state securities laws, FINRA rules, and federal and state money transmission and payments regulations.

Prior to joining the Firm, Gavin was Senior Legal Counsel at a start-up FinTech broker-dealer and crypto-trading platform where he managed the firm’s US money transmitter licensing applications and advised the firm’s various entities on broker-dealer and crypto-related regulatory obligations and strategic business decisions.
