Student Bar Association Elections: Informational Session

March 7 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Student Bar Association will be hosting an informational session for all students who are interested in running for an Executive Council or Legislative Council position. SBA is comprised of the Legislative Council and the Executive Council. The Legislative Council is a group of representatives who are elected by their peers and serve as liaisons between the student body and faculty. The number of Legislative Council representatives is determined by the size of each class (1L, 2L, 3L, and PT). The Executive Council is comprised of nine (9) members who are elected by their peers to oversee the Legislative Council and maintain their respective obligations (i.e. finances, constitution, ABA, etc.). SBA also facilitates eleven (11) committees which are focused on serving a different aspect of the Association. These committees include: ABA, Alumni, Barrister’s, Communications, Constitution & Bylaws, Diversity, Elections, Finance, Health and Wellness, Pro Bono, and Socials. Being a part of SBA not only allows you an opportunity to advocate for the student body, but also to actively engage in bettering the Stetson campus.

To learn more about SBA, what we do, and what positions may be a good fit for you, we are hosting an informational session on March 7 @ 12 PM. This will be an opportunity to ask questions about the job duties, time commitment, and ways you can get involved. Any student interested in running for a Legislative Council or Executive Council position is highly encouraged to attend as information on election dates and rules will be provided at this meeting. Lunch will be provided for attendees.
