Student Organization Important Dates!
July 29 @ 8:00 am - August 22 @ 5:00 pm
If you have selected your new Executive Boards, and have NOT submitted them, please send an email to Desmond Baker at [email protected] with the student’s name, position held, email address, and Faculty advisor.
The only way to get access to the engage page for your organization is to send in the correct officers. If we do not hear back from anyone by August 19th, Student Affairs will assume the organization is going inactive for the 2024-2025 school year.
Save the Dates
August 23, 1:00pm – 4:00pm. SBA and the Office of Student Affairs will host a mandatory student organization training for Fall 2024. Student Organization Presidents and one other member of your Exec board are required to attend. We encourage all Executive Board members to attend, but the training will be most beneficial for Presidents, Treasurers, and anyone in charge of planning events for your org. The training session will be recorded. Please RSVP here.

If no one on your executive board is able to attend the training, you must email me at [email protected] and Desmond Baker at [email protected]. Organizations who cannot attend will be required to watch the recording and take a quiz before the organization will be eligible to receive funds from SBA.
September 25, 11:00am – 1:00pm, Great Hall. Student Organization Fair. Students visiting the Student Organization Fair will learn more about your student organization, check out your upcoming events, and see how to get involved in student organizations. Details will be provided soon on how to rsvp your org for the fair.
Fall 2024 Budget Process
In early August, the SBA Treasurer will send information on submitting budget requests for the Fall 2024 semester. The SBA budget will be voted on at the September 3rd meeting. SBA is offering conditional funding of $200 for any events that organizations may be interested in holding before the vote. However, if your org budget is not approved the conditional funding will have to come out of your organizations pink account. Organizations are also welcome to use pink account funds to host events before the vote, and SBA can reimburse the pink accounts once budgets pass.
