On August 4^th, Governor Ron DeSantis made the announcement he’d be suspending, and replacing Andrew Warren from his role as Hillsborough County State Attorney. Governor DeSantis cited Mr. Warren’s pledge to not enforce the state’s 15-week abortion ban and his vow to not criminalize doctors who provide gender-affirming treatments. In response, Mr. Warren said Florida’s governor violated his right to free speech when he removed him from the position.
