Join Lambda Legal as we discuss and analyze motivations and perpetrations of violence against the transgender community. Trans people experience disproportionate levels of violence committed against them randomly, in their interpersonal relationships, and by the police where they are then often revictimized through the criminal justice system. Not only will we analyze these specific types of hate crimes but also the necessity of proper education and policy implications for how we can truly serve and protect the trans community.
