Grant Writing Workshop

On Friday, September 23rd from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.  The Alliance for Advocacy and Philanthropy (The Alliance), the Social Justice Advocacy (SJA) concentration program, and the Future Lawyers for Advocacy and Philanthropy (FLAP) will be sponsoring an Introduction to Grant Writing Workshop.  There is no cost associated with this workshop.  The workshop will be led by Dr. Katie Schultz, Senior Director of Community Investment at the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay  (99+) Katie Shultz, Ed.D. | LinkedIn.

In this workshop you will learn how to support research, activism and advocacy through foundation and governmental grants.  You will learn the basic principles regarding grant writing and you will have the opportunity to register for our second workshop on Grant Writing to be held in October. The second workshop will provide guidance on what to do once you have received a grant – i.e. how do you evaluate your project goals, how do you insure accountability in the work that you do, how do you expand your ability to receive more grant support. Attendance at the first workshop is a prerequisite for attending the second workshop.

To register for the Friday, September 23rd Introduction to Grant Writing Workshop please RSVP to [email protected] no later than Friday September 16th at 5 p.m.  You must indicate in your RSVP whether you plan to attend in person or virtually.   Attendance in person will be limited to  15 people.  After we receive your RSVP we will provide you with further information.
