HAVE YOU DONE AMAZING LEGAL PRO BONO WORK???

Stetson University College of Law is deeply committed to providing quality legal pro bono services to the community.  This Fall, we will honor the amazing pro bono work of our students.  We are inviting all students who would like to share their experiences of doing legal pro bono to be part of the  Annual William Reece Smith, Jr. Pro Bono Showcase .

To participate in the showcase you will need to prepare a description of the work that you did and the impact this work had on you and the community you served (no more than 500 words).  If possible, you should also request that your supervising attorney submit a letter of reference supporting your application.  The focus of the showcase is on the quality of the pro bono work that you did, not the number of hours completed. Applications must be submitted to [email protected] no later than Monday, September 18th   at 5 p.m.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to email either Professor Scully at [email protected] or Professor Kristen Adams at [email protected].

Student applications will be reviewed by a panel of Social Justice Advocacy professors and practitioners.  This panel will then select no more than 5 student finalists who will be featured in the Pro Bono Showcase, that will take place on Tuesday, October 17th at 5:30 p.m.

The finalists will be featured in a story on the Stetson Law website describing their pro bono accomplishments.  We will also try to have local media press coverage. In addition, one of the finalists will be awarded a parking space in the faculty parking lot for the 2023-2024 school year.
