Important Information for Student Organization Leaders
Student Leaders,
I look forward to seeing you on campus soon. According to my records, you have not completed the Re-Registration process for your student organization to be active for the 2023 – 2024 academic year.
Event requests submitted prior to completing your Re-Registration process, will be held until the Re-Registration process is complete.
Please send an email to [email protected] with the names of your Executive Board members, with the student name, position held, email address, and Faculty advisor.
Re-Register Student Organization
To ensure your student organization is in compliance and considered for active status for the 2023 – 2024 academic year, a member of your Executive Board is required to Re-Register your student organization. If your student organization has been inactive for at least 2 consecutive semesters, you are required to seek Temporary Organization Status. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
To Re-Register your student organization, navigate to your student organization Engage page, click on “Manage Organization.” Click on “Re-Register This Organization.”
After re-registering your student organization, please update your Roster on Engage by removing former Executive Board members and adding the new Executive Board members. You should also remove members who are no longer a part of your organization. Save the Dates
August 25, 1:00pm – 3:00pm. SBA and the Office of Student Affairs will host mandatory student organization training for Fall 2023. Student Organization Presidents and Treasurers are required to attend. We encourage all Executive Board members to attend. Priority RSVP will be given to Student Organization Presidents. The training session will be recorded. Please RSVP.
September 14, 11:30am – 1:00pm, Great Hall. Student Organization Fair. Students visiting the Student Organization Fair will learn more about your student organization, check out your upcoming events, and see how to get involved in student organizations. A member of your Executive Board can complete the 2023 Student Organization Fair Registration form at the following link
Fall 2023 Budget Process
In early August, the SBA Treasurer and Finance Committee will send information on submitting budget requests for the Fall 2023 semester. The SBA budget will be voted on at the first meeting of the semester on Tuesday, August 29.
