Informal Q&A Session for the Chief Justice First-Year Oral Argument Competition

The Chief Justice First-Year Oral Argument Competition is an opportunity for first-year students to learn a little bit about oral advocacy before R&W II. Participants prepare a five-minute argument from the materials provided–a Record (aka fact pattern) that is 2-3 pages long and four or five sources (fictitious cases, statutes, secondary sources). The cases for this competition typically involve Disney characters.

Tonight’s Q&A (6:30 p.m. in Classroom A) is not mandatory; it is just an opportunity to ask questions, in-person. Unable to attend? Send questions to Professor Bowman ([email protected]).
