The scholarship will be presented to a law student who submits a 500 word essay that begins with the statement “I believe that jury trials are important to American Jurisprudence because. . .”
The winner will be presented with the scholarship at the Trial and Litigation Awards program on May 11, 2021. Additionally, the winning entry may be submitted by the Trial and Litigation Section to the HCBA Lawyer magazine for publication.
Entries will be assessed for originality, creativity, respect for the rule of law, and a passion for the courtroom. The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2022. Please include your name, email, and telephone number on the essay. Please submit essays to: Caroline Johnson at [email protected].
