Journal of Aging Law & Policy Tryouts Open Through April 11th
We encourage all incoming 2Ls and 3Ls to apply to become a part of our Journal. Each associate is awarded 1 course credit for both the Fall and Spring semesters. Our work focuses on articles that address critical issues impacting the aging community across the nation. Being part of the Journal provides an excellent opportunity to hone legal citation editing skills and offers students a chance to write and become published (though publication is not required).
Our Journal meets once a month, and we provide lunch for all students during these meetings. Additionally, students can expect 3-6 assignments throughout the semester, which involve editing articles for the current volume and soliciting articles for future volumes. On average, students will spend about 42 hours on Journal work during one semester, which corresponds to the 1 credit hour granted per semester.
While our website is currently being upgraded, students can still view past Journal volumes and the bios of our current editors on the existing site: https://www.stetson.edu/law/agingjournal/
Students can find the application documents on TWEN at this link: https://lawschool.westlaw.com/twen/course/324442/join/5SHEWQS4KU2RJC4332NZ, and any questions can be directed to Brie Faenza, the current Editor-in-Chief, at [email protected]
