Law Students needed for remote Pro Bono- Ukrainian Refugee Legal Assistance Project

Ukrainian Mothers and Children Transport (UMACT) is looking for law student volunteers. Each volunteer law student is assigned a Ukrainian family and their US sponsor to help them navigate the USCIS process to get a parole visa under the Uniting for Ukraine I-134 refugee program or a Temporary Protective Status visa if they are already in the U.S.  Once the family arrives in the U.S. the student helps with getting a work permit, public assistance, summer school for children,  and other needs.

The work is done virtually.

UMACT provides immigration lawyers and law professors assisting students with pro bono supervision and training. If you are interested in volunteering to provide legal assistance please contact Professor Michael Bazyler, Chapman University, at [email protected]. More information can also be found at umactransport.org
