Legal Pro Bono Opportunity (Child Advocacy)

Lawyers for Children America (LFCA) is hosting a child advocacy training on July 10 from 12pm to 2pm for law students and attorneys interested in volunteering with their organization. Stetson law students are invited to attend in-person (if based in the Miami-Dade area) or via Zoom.

LFCA is a non-profit that recruits, trains, and supports pro bono lawyers to serve dependent children, with a focus on abused and abandoned children in foster care and youth transitioning to adulthood. Law student volunteers can be paired with an attorney to work on a child’s case, assist with a legal research issue, or help with LFCA’s pro bono manual. Training hours are eligible for non-legal pro bono, and students can earn legal pro bono hours for volunteering with LFCA.
