Microsoft Teams is an integral tool in our workplace and in our efforts to enhance it, we are pleased to announce the general availability of Microsoft Teams Phone Service.

This service is offered as an alternative to our 8×8 app on your computer and mobile devices to simplify adoption and ease of use.

FAQ

1. Can I still use the 8×8 mobile or computer app?
   • Simultaneous use of both apps is not recommended. We ask that you uninstall the 8×8 mobile and computer app. Contact us if you need help uninstalling the computer app from your Stetson computer.
2. How will calling change for me?
   • We are essentially enabling the ability for Microsoft Teams to handle calls instead of the 8×8 application.
3. Do I need to get rid of my desk phone?
   • No. Your desk phone will continue to coexist with Teams, allowing you to place calls through the desk phone or Microsoft Teams.
4. How will I access my voicemails?
   • All voicemails will still be delivered to your email inbox.
